Estate Chardonnay

Brookland Valley Estate Chardonnay is made with grape parcels sourced from a block by the entrance to the estate vineyard which slopes down to the Wilyabrup Brook.

The vineyard is the last land holding before the brook reaches the Indian Ocean.

The grapes are hand harvested, hand sorted and whole bunch pressed. The juice transfers to French oak for wild fermentation. Malolactic fermentation is in barrel on yeast lees, with occasional stirring.

The wine stays on lees for eight months. Barrel selections make up the final blend.

Pale straw, Brookland Valley Estate Chardonnay is intense with citrus fruit flavours, elegant structure and sustained length. Cellaring potential is seven years.
